ARTNZ was co-founded in 2015 by Drs Wayne McIlwraith, BVSc, PhD, DACVS, DACVSMR, Ivan Bridge BVSc, David Hanlon BVMS, MVSc, MACVSc, DACT, Dave Keenan BVSc MANZCVS, Neil Houston BVSc MACVSc, and Lacy Kamm DVM, MS, DACVS, with the goal to provide cutting edge stem cell techniques to New Zealand and Australia.

ARTNZ is a sister company to the United States company Advanced Regenerative Therapies (ART). ART was co-founded in 2007 by Dr. David Frisbie, DVM, PhD, DACVS, DACVSMR, and Dr. John Kisiday, PhD at the request of Dr. McIlwraith. Dr. Frisbie is a Professor and Dr. Kisiday is an Associate Professor at the Gail Holmes Orthopaedic Research Center at Colorado State University where Dr. McIlwraith is the director. The Orthopedic Research Center is a pioneer in using autologous bone marrow stem cells to treat equine athlete joint injuries.

ARTNZ provides bone marrow derived stem cell expansion services to veterinarians throughout New Zealand and Australia. In addition, we offer cell banking services and peer-to-peer consultation to meet all of the needs of our clients.
